With SoundCloud, the future of audio distribution is limitless. SoundCloud can allow musicians to skip the drama of the labels and distribution by letting them upload the music themselves for the fans. In this day and age, many artists work together without having the other artist being present, but from another studio miles away. With SoundCloud, one musician can upload what they were working on without the hassle of file size limits. SoundCloud can also be used by engineers as a portfolio for employers to check out their mixes. The possibilities of how SoundCloud can be used are endless.
I plan on using SoundCloud myself to help build my career. As an aspiring engineer, I can use SoundCloud to upload every mix that i have and will work on throughout my career. With SoundCloud, I can post the link to my personal page on resumes for employers to check out my work. I can use SoundCloud as a tool to showcase my work.
